I often use Aloe Vera Gelly to treat deeper wounds but it has a tendency to sting when applied to a raw area. However, if the wound is treated with Aloe First and left for a few minutes, the subsequent application of the Gelly is far less painful. It can also be used to great effect in the treatment of ulcers and bed-sores. Because Aloe First is water-based it is an excellent product for hairy areas such as the armpits or the scalp, where greasy products would be uncomfortable and unpleasant. As it can be sprayed on, it is particularly appropriate for tender rashes that should be left untouched such as those associated with shingles, sunburn and prickly heat. The allergic rash, urticaria, often referred to as hives or nettle rash, can also benefit from this treatment as sufferers often will not tolerate creams being directly applied to the skin. It was 16 years ago that I joined the business and purchased my first order and amongst the items I initially bought was an Aloe First. I bought this because I wanted to experiment with it.

My wife’s hobby is cooking and because she often uses an Aga oven without long, padded gloves she frequently burns herself. I was aware that amongst the many nicknames for aloe vera is the ‘burn plant’. When my wife first used the Aloe First spray, the instant pain relief was quite remarkable and I was won over. I witnessed a rapid healing of the burn with no scarring and having seen the ‘burn plant’ at work my belief in the properties of aloe vera was established.

This marvellous first-aid spray contains a high percentage of aloe vera gel that, amongst its other attributes, is anti-inflammatory. Other selected plant extracts are included in this product for their various beneficial effects. The trigger of the container is easy to use and one can direct a jet of Aloe First at the target area or, by twisting the nozzle, dispense a fine spray.

Apart from the treatment of burns, its main uses are for stings, bites, cuts and grazes making it an essential part of a household first-aid kit. Aloe First is water-based and the evaporation of the water produces an extremely soothing, cooling effect. In addition, it is also very useful for cleaning dirty wounds before applying other dressings.

I also think that Distributors could do well to promote this product in beauty salons and clinics that carry out laser hair-removal, leg-waxing and microderm abrasion. These procedures often provoke traumatic inflammation and irritation that could benefit from the profound post-treatment cooling and soothing effect of Aloe First spray. I know from my veterinary colleague, David Urch, that before the vet spray was available he used Aloe First and found it equally effective on animals as well as humans.
