Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: How should I store the Aloe Vera Gel drink?

A: As with most natural foods, once you've opened the bottle, it should be stored in the fridge with the lid tightly closed. Of course during storage, the natural pulp will settle, so you should always shake the bottle before use. Note that the date stamped on the bottom of the container is the bottling date. The use by date is on a label on the lid.

Q 2: How much should I drink?

A:  This depends on your reasons for drinking aloe. As with other nutritional supplements, some people take a small amount each morning 2fl oz (60ml)  to maintain their general well being. Other people boost their intake for specific reasons when they might drink up to 6 fl oz (180ml) or more a day. The average is 4 fl oz (120ml) per day.

Some people, such as the elderly, need less whereas those who are larger framed need more. Note the Serving Size 8 fl oz printed on the side of the bottle is for nutritional comparison purposes only. It does not mean that 8 fl oz is a recommended amount to drink in one serving.

Q 3: Can I mix it with anything else?

A:  Yes, if you really don't like the taste, then try mixing it with pure fruit juice, cordial or honey.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 4: When is the best time to drink aloe?

A:  We would recommend you take the aloe on an empty stomach to get the maximum benefit. So for example you could take it first thing in the morning and then again late afternoon.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 5: When should I feel some benefits?

A:  We anticipate that few people will feel notable benefits before 6 weeks; we urge you to take it for a trial period of at least 3 months.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 6: One of my male clients has reported stinging, itching and increased sweat whilst using the Aloe Deodorant stick. This has been going on for two weeks now since he started using the product. Which of the ingredients could be causing the reactions?

A:  It is important that your client uses only Aloe Vera products on his underarm area before using the Deodorant as the Aloe Vera is absorbed into the deeper layers of the dermis and will take with it anything that is on the skin.

If this advice is followed and there is still a reaction, then it is possible that this man is sensitive to one of the ingredients in the Gel. This can be tested by not applying the product for a while, then trying again at a later date to see if there is a similar reaction. We can't say which ingredient is causing the reaction without clinical testing and unfortunately, we don't have the facilities to do this here at Forever.

Q 7: Are the supplement tablets air or sun dried?

A: All of our tablets are air-dried. UV rays would be harmful to them.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 8: What conditions might receive some benefit from Ginkgo Biloba?

A: There are three main areas where it exerts its effects, which are to:

1. increase blood flow in the small vessels of the body's extremities such in the hands, feet and brain.
2. relax and smooth muscle such as that in the bronchial tubes in the lungs.
3. prevent cells from damage by free radicals through its antioxidant activity.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 9: Why is Ginkgo so expensive?

A:  Really, it is just supply and demand, for there are not many mature Ginkgo trees around. 70% are in China, which is now growing huge plantations for export, so eventually the price will come down, but probably not in our lifetime! It requires an awful lot of leaves from a mature tree to make a little product. If you find some cheap Ginkgo, like cheap aloe it must be adulterated, with very little Ginkgo in it. An ideal product should also contain Flavonoids equal to, or greater than, 24% and Terpenoids equal to, or greater than, 6%.

Q 10: If there are so many vitamins and minerals in the Aloe Vera Gel, why do we need the other supplements?

A:  There are 75 different nutritional compounds in the Gel, but it is the synergy of the vitamins, minerals, amino acids etc., working together in their natural form that makes the Gel such a powerful tonic. Ideally, the Gel shouldn't be included as part of your recommended daily allowance of vitamins and minerals.

For example, if you have high cholesterol levels or arthritis, we recommended you take the Gel plus Arctic Sea. If you have low energy levels, we recommend the Gel plus Bee Pollen etc. If you have high cholesterol, we recommend taking the Gel, Arctic Sea Omega 3 and Garlic-Thyme. If you have rheumatoid arthritis, taking the plain Gel and Arctic Sea Omega 3 can help to reduce the inflammation and topical Heat Lotion can ease the pain. If you have osteoarthritis, then Forever Freedom and topical MSM Gel can be helpful. If you are unable to take the Freedom for any reason, the plain Gel, Active HA and Arctic Sea Omega 3 could be tried, along with topical MSM Gel.

It is better not to over analyse the exact mcg's (microgrammes) or milligrammes of vitamins and minerals as this isn't how nature intended us to get benefit from one of her rich sources of nutrients.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 11: Why is it better to take a natural supplement rather than a synthetic one, when on the container it states they contain the same amount of that particular supplement?

A: Although they both appear to be identical, the natural vitamins are more readily absorbed by the body and they don't contain any toxins. In some cases synthetic supplements can't be broken down by the body, so they come out exactly the same as they went in.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 12: Which supplement would you suggest I take as a multi-vitamin/ multi-mineral? I don't have much money to spend, and can't afford to take the whole range.

A: The Aloe Vera Gel and Berry Nectar are wonderful complete tonics to take on a daily basis containing 75 different vitamins, minerals, enzymes, and amino acids. Out of our supplements, I would suggest either the Bee Pollen or the Fields of Green. These have both been quoted as being complete foods, as they both contain a whole range of vitamins and minerals in their most natural state. It is so important to take a supplement in its natural state as it can be readily absorbed by the body.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 13: What is the best time to take supplements?

A: Take the vitamins with meals, because this way they are absorbed and work more efficiently. If for example you take two A-Beta-Care per day- take one in the morning with breakfast, and the second one with your evening meal, not both at the same time. The Bee Products ideally should be chewed. Fat soluble vitamins (A,E,D,K) should be taken just before you eat. Water soluble vitamins (B.C,F) with meals or just after.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 14: If certain customers don't like taking Aloe Vera Gel, is it worth them taking the supplements on their own, or won't they be as effective?

A: We recommend Customers take the Aloe Vera Gel internally for a full balance, then, if they wish, they can take supplements to strengthen areas of their diet, which may be deficient in certain vitamins and minerals. If customers could not take the Aloe Vera Gel internally, then I recommend that they take the Bee Pollen and Fields of Green, which will give them a complete balance of vitamins and minerals. Take one of each with each meal.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q 15: Is it best to take Bee Propolis regularly or just when you need it?

A: Bee Propolis is one of the most powerful natural antibiotics that we possess and I feel, in most cases, it is best used in large amounts when one is trying to beat an impending infection such as a cold, flu, or a sore throat. Some people, however, have a tendency to recurrent infection such as, say sinusitis, so here it may be appropriate to take it on a daily basis so as to act as a preventative. This must be down to personal choice, but as with many things, trial and error will generally show which method is best suited to any particular individual.
